RARE. Simply spectacular! Dark, dramatic flower spikes covered in stunning plum-black blooms atop striking, strappy, blue-green foliage. Each flower stalk may be covered in up to 30 little bell-shaped blooms. These unusual, hard to find perennials are thrilling in groups of 3 or more, where they add phenomenal vertical interest mid-spring. 

These stunners prefer moist, rich, yet extra well draining soil. Grow these outdoors - where they can be enjoyed in the ground or in containers with other spring bloomers, such as daffodils, tulips, and more.

The bulbs can be rather delicate - plant them as soon as you get them.

🌍Where on earth? Fritillary persica plants are native to sunny, hot, rocky slopes in West Asia. The foliage is a clue - plants with blue-tinted or "glaucous" foliage are specially adapted for handing harshly sunny conditions. So go ahead and plant these in hot, sun-drenched areas of the garden - but ensure good drainage.

🌱Clay soil? If you want to plant them in solid clay soil, mix in some Daddy Pete's Lawn & Garden soil with the clay, and toss in a handful of Vole bloc underneath the bulbs to help with drainage (we carry Vole bloc in extra small sizes for this). Easy peasy!
