Effortless beauty! These outstanding fall bloomers with daisy-like pastel apricot petals and vibrant yellow centers provide color and attract butterflies when most things have finished for the season, with extremely long-lasting blooms.

🦋'Single Apricot' Chrysanthemums are excellent for providing nectar for butterflies, and are incredibly - seriously - low maintenance. Keen eyes will recognize these in our Pollinator Garden, and at the garden bed at our exit.

🌸'Single Apricot' Chrysanthemum is also known as 'Sheffield Pink' and 'Hillside Sheffield Pink' - they can live and gently spread for many years. They are also known as Korean Chrysanthemums, and are truly cold hardy and durable plants.

Use these in Pollinator Gardens, Cottage Gardens, Cutting Flower Gardens, Pollinator Gardens, and anywhere you want something beautiful but isn't too demanding.

💚Plant Nerd: What's in a name? While common names of plants can be very confusing, the Latin, or scientific names of plants can occasionally be confusing as well, as plant scientists learn more and more about how plants are actually related to one another. These plants were once called 'Chrysanthemum', then they were moved to 'Dendranthemum', and now they're back to 'Chrysanthemum'. You may also find these plants called Dendranthema x morifolium or D. x grandiflorum or D. x koreanum! Add to that the confusion regarding how 'Single Apricot' is the same plant as 'Sheffield Pink' and 'Hillside Sheffield Pink'!  

Hopefully in this era of DNA and genetics they'll finally figure the names out for good, while the rest of us enjoy growing these fun and rewarding plants.
