Enjoy RCN exclusive local heirloom grapes from a vineyard that used to exist in the Reems Creek valley.
Our founder Wilma Penland saved this wonderful plant from obscurity and has been propagating it ever since, alongside her daughter Susan and other family members, down at our Farm in the Reems Creek Valley. Dave has eaten these grapes and attests to their delicious qualities.
The scrumptious grapes full of flavor can be eaten fresh off the vine, made into beautiful pink jellies & jams, or used to make beverages. Does contain seeds.
Grapes can be trained to creatively grow over all kinds of sturdy structures, from fences to gazebos to arbors to geodesic domes. You can even grow them over decks and patios to provide shade in summer!
❤️RCN Staff Favorite - Multiple staff members are growing these plants in our gardens and we highly recommend them!
Like all grapes, these plants thrive with full sun (6-8 hours of sunlight) and excellent air circulation.
